Which from what I understand is a merging of the words "information" and "post". How amusing!

Now. Where to begin? The first thing you need to know is that in the movie named after me, I broke the fourth wall several times. I won't be doing such a thing in the game because that's just a headache and I have been informed that this technique belongs and is trademarked to someone named Wade Wilson. And I have also been informed I shouldn't steal his "schtick." So therefore my own words will just have to be relegated to these so called "OOC" posts which stands for "Out of Character". However, I am never out of character. I am me. And these are my words.

The second thing you need to know is that my mother named me "Enola" which backwards spells "Alone". I know it's an unusual name, but my mother is rather a fan of word games. I once thought that meant I must be on my own. But I now see that being alone doesn't mean I have to be lonely. Mother never wanted that. She wanted me to find my freedom and my purpose. We'll get into that in a minute.

My father died when I was young. I don't really remember him. And both my brothers left home soon after. I barely remembered them, either. So then it was just my mother and I, and it was wonderful. She was not an ordinary mother. She didn't teach me to string seashells or practice my embroidery. We did different things. Reading, science, sports, all sorts of exercise, both physical and mental. Mother said we were free to do anything and be anyone. She was my whole world.

But she didn't share everything with me. Again: I'll get to that in a minute. Please be patient.

The second thing you should know about me is my brothers. Mycroft and Sherlock, names which backwards spell out, respectively, Tforcym and Kcolrehs. (Perhaps one shouldn't read too much into the "alone" idea.) And yes, my brother is the Sherlock Holmes. I assume you've read about him? I know you consider him fictional but he is very real and everything you've read about him is true. They just left out the part of him having a little sister.

My other brother, Mycroft, is an ambitious political misogynist and I don't really care for him. You'll see why as I continue my narrative. It's here that I must mention the word "spoilers" if you no longer wish to know the rest of my story.

In July on my sixteenth birthday my mother disappeared. She left no word or explanation, she just up and left in the middle of the night. It turned out that my mother had been embezzling money from my brother Mycroft for years which was supposed to be used for the maintenance and staff at our family estate. My brothers returned to find me... somewhat lacking in standard Victorian manners and societal graces. Mycroft specifically tried to ship off to a finishing school where I was to be imprisoned in whalebone corsets and hip regulators for the rest of my life.

I thought otherwise and ran away. I was trying to get to London to find my mother (Who had hidden a rather large sum of money to keep me safe and sound. I forgot that part. Sorry!). Instead I got embroiled in a large plot involving a useless boy (Viscount Tewkesbury, Marquess of Basilweather) who was targeted for murder by his very own grandmother. Horrid woman. I managed to save the boy and along the way discovered that my mother was part of a radical group of suffragettes and had set forth on a nefarious plot to use gunpowder to set off some rather large explosives to bring attention to their cause.

Luckily the boy I saved was a member of the House of Lords and cast the winning vote for the Representation of the People act of 1884 which granted the right to vote to a larger populace of England. Not to women of course. But it was enough to stop my mother and her radical group from using explosives and possibly harming innocent people.

I'm still not 100% sure how I feel about that.

Anyhow, I solved the case of the so-called "Missing Marquess" and I even beat my brother in the resolution of the matter. I'm still on the run from my brothers. (Especially Mycroft who is a rather foul fellow) and have been living in London on my own for the past couple of months.

Regardless, that is my story. As for who I am? I am a detective, I am a decipherer, and I am a finder of lost souls. I've also learned that to be a Holmes, you must find your own path. My brothers have, my mother has, and I must too.

To that end I have received a mysterious encoded message from my mother in the personal column of the most recent copy of the Magazine of Modern Womanhood telling me that if I wish to continue my education free from the restrictions of Victorian society, I must come to America and attend a strange little school known as "Fandom".

A ridiculous name and quite frankly the syllabus looks very suspect. However I know my mother would not steer me wrong and I look forward to meeting all of you and attending school in America. How exciting!

That is all I have to write about at the moment. And I must apologize as I've been told that most "infoposts" have a lot of gifs or jifs which I haven't a clue what they are. You'll just have to do without for now.
